PEACE DAY CEREMONY SEPTEMBER, 18, 2010
We are glad to report that even though the weather was on the bad side, the event was still a success.
The event began with a small meet and greet session. After briefly, engaging with the other organizations that were present, we took part in the Flying of the Flags Ceremony. Over 200 nations world-wide were individually represented by their nation's flag. More peaceful fun and unity was composed with several workshops, ranging from making a paper peace dove to peace in the home, and laughter yoga.
Our staff engaged in the seminars and joined the other organizations for a day of peace and overall unity.
At the end of the day, we all joined in a small parade around Rainbow Beach. With a giant peace dove leading the way, we chanted for peace and made peace of mind, heart and soul.
